Lead a team of approx. 10 FTE to care for Freemasons Special Care Nursery babies

The Role In this permanent full-time role, based at Epworth Freemasons in East Melbourne, you will be responsible for the operational and clinical leadership of the Special Care Nursery team to deliver outstanding patient care to babies and their families.
The unit cares for babies requiring a higher level of nursing care, including CPAP and high flow oxygen. The Special Care Nursery has 10 cots and is supported by an excellent group of experienced Paediatricians and outstanding leadership team.

To be successful in this role… You will be either looking to take your first step into a nursing leadership position or perhaps beginning to work down. You enjoy balancing management responsibilities with a substantial clinical component that keeps you “on the tools”. You are adaptable, flexible, calm under pressure and are prepared to be brave when needed. Nurturing and compassionate are how people describe you.
You will have:
Current AHPRA Registration
Special Care Nursery or NICU experience
Relevant specialised training
Experience gained caring for babies requiring CPAP or high flow
Nursing leadership experience
