We are seeking a flexible Immunisation Nurse to deliver our on-site vaccination clinics for our corporate clients.

In order to be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • To effectively provide influenza vaccinations to healthy populations whilst complying with all relevant legislation, policies and regulations
  • To provide punctual and efficient clinics for our corporate clients
  • To effectively screen and determine suitability of patients for participation within the clinics based on their history and medical profile
  • To receive and track consent from patients compliant with state and federal requirements
  • To liaise with office staff in an effective manner to organise your equipment and replenishment of consumable stock
  • To complete all paperwork in full and punctually as required under the management of the program
  • To provide emergency first aid where required in the event of a reaction to the vaccine or whilst someone is under your care
  • To comply with cold-chain management requirements for the storage and transport of vaccine stock
  • The ability to deliver vaccination clinics to a range of clientele in various locations across the wider Melbourne metropolitan area

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Current nursing registration (AHPRA)
  • Current Immunisation Certificate valid for the relevant state or territory
  • Current CPR or Basic Life Support
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable car

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in providing vaccination clinics
This position is a casual position commencing April 2019, We are seeking nurses with 2-5 days a week available to work on the program between April and July 2019. The suitable candidate must be willing to drive to clinics around the Bairnsdale area. Please include a covering letter as the first page of your resume addressing the above criteria.
